Maraetai

Maraetai is Māori for ‘meeting place by the sea’. The wide grassy verges and delicate shell beaches provide ideal picnic spots where you can enjoy the gentle lapping of the ocean at your feet. With beautiful views of the Coromandel Ranges in the distance and a foreground of sparkling blue water, you will have no problem letting your troubles melt away. On the waterfront is the ever-popular Bach’n Café & Restaurant. It’s also worth a detourto Off the Beach Gallery – turn right at the roundabout as you come into Maraetai and then left into Carlton Crescent.
