All Saints Church

All Saints (Anglican) Church was designed by Frederick Thatcher and built in 1847 in a college yard in Kohimarama, Auckland,  and shipped by sea to Howick. It was the first building to be erected in Howick and was nestled on a knoll overlooking Howick Bay. It is considered to be one of New Zealand’s outstanding historic buildings and is now the second oldest church in New Zealand. Take a stroll around the graveyard and you will find the graves of many early settlers including the children of Howick’s first resident vicar, Vicesimus Lush and his wife Blanche.
