Howick Beach
If you have a passion for history, stroll down to Howick Beach where the first Fencible soldiers landed in 1847. A short wharf was erected soon after their arrival, for use at high tide only. In 1895, a longer wharf was built and demolished in 1936. At low tide, you can still see the remains of the piles.
