Howick - a new colony.

Howick was once a sleepy seaside village and holiday destination for Auckland vacationers.

Nowadays it is a busy, vibrant community with services to cater for the population (17,819, 2006 Census).  Many of Howick's shops are still family owned and you can certainly while away a day in the little boutique dress shops, interspersed with a few cafe lattes or a glass of sauvignon blanc!  Why not take an Historic Walk through Howick and enjoy Howick at your own pace.

Howick is an area steeped in history, a great base for exploring the beautiful countryside to the east whilst still being close to Auckland city and major arterial routes.
